On the mound, Sample has a free / sound arm action, on-time separation, and he works in good rhythm. He keeps his shoulders level, he has good direction toward home, and he finishes in an athletic / complete position. Sample shows a good idea on the hill and his CB has good bite. At SS, Sample has soft / sure hands, active footwork, and he moves well laterally. He has sound fundamentals, his exchange is clean, and he throws with a loose arm and accuracy to his target. At the plate, Sample has a square set-up, proper load, and good balance. He has average bat speed, good barrel accuracy and he makes good use of his lower 1/2. Sample shows solid abilities for his current age and he can get even better with the following improvements.
