12/27/2007 - Christmas Camp and Tournament - 2007 Gillette is a skilled middle infielder with a solid left handed stroke and a good feel for the game. Simply put, he is a "gamer" with good instincts and ability to make his teammates better - he is a "baseball player". He showed excellent bat control at the plate, and ability to hit the ball to all fields. His balance and setup were very good, allowing him to repeat his stroke. In the infield, he setup well and moved well laterally. Can work to get his glove more out front and to get his body more through the play into the throw. Ran 7.10 in the 60-yard dash, the second time we have seen him in that range.
