Official Scouting Report

  • 5Class Rating
  • RHPPosition Projection

05/12/2019 - College PREP - Justin (DFW), TX Aaron is a 2020 RHP that shows the ability to throw 3 pitches in the zone. On the mound he gathers of the rubber well, separates on time, and has a quick and clean arm action. He strides square to the plate and extends through release while showing he can repeat his mechanics pitch to pitch well. Aaron mixes 3 pitches, a FB, CB, and CH. The FB sits at 80-81 with some arm side run and fills up the zone. The CB sits 68-72 with 12-6 to 11-5 gradual break. The CB shows good shape and depth as well and profiles as the better off-speed pitch. The CH is 71-74 with arm side run and is deceptive with FB arm speed. Aaron has two years to develop, with some time in the weight room and natural growth, this 2020 prospect has a bright future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
