Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 1B/RHPPosition Projection

01/30/2022 - Official Player Development Membership - Fort Myers, FL Aaron is a 1B/RHP in the class of 2026. He has a projectable frame (6’2/165) that plays well around the bag. Has the wingspan to generate outs on tough throws and close plays. He has active feet and squares his body during the fielding position with pocket awareness. He throws from a ¾ arm slot and produces strong (72 velo) feeds that are on-line and to his targets. On the mound, he has solid rhythm and can pound the zone. He has a 3-pitch mix with loose 3/4 arm action. His FB topped at 68 with cutting action. His CB sat 52-56 with 11/5 shape. His CH repeats his FB with cutting action with deception and sat down in the zone at 57-59. Operating with more of a chest to the glove will allow him to reach out and touch his target on his CB and generate more lower half engagement in his delivery. At the plate, he begins with a tall athletic stance. He stays in his legs well with a short on time load and a centered balance. He has quiet eyes and his on-plane barrel path produces line drive contact to through the back of the baseball. Aaron is just scratching the surface of the player he can become.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
