01/24/2016 - College PREP - Delray Beach, FL Aaron is a (5'11"/195) 2-way player as a LHP/1B. On the mound, this lefty has a 3-pitch mix coming from a 3/4 arm slot and clean arm action. He works to a tall balance point, keeps his eyes on the target and gets strong glove side lead. He drives off the rubber with his lower 1/2 getting the most out of his FB. FB ranges from 73-76 mph while showing good tailing action. Breaking ball has 1/7 shape with 'slider' like sweep. Changeup displays tail as he throws it with FB arm speed - helping to create deception for the hitter. At 1B, he hustles into a square fielding position behind the GB and tracks the ball into a soft mitt. He gathers well and makes the plays. Continuing to develop his footwork/agility will help to increase lateral range. With the bat, Aaron stands in well with centered balance tracking pitches into the zone. He likes the pitch on the inner 1/2, pulling it with pop. Even more power potential is there if he can work to shorten his stride (avoid lunging) which will help to engage his full lower 1/2. Aaron has upside with still time to progress as he enters his junior season.
