06/08/2019 - 2019 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Texas Aaron is an athletic SS/RHP that shows as a top prospect on the diamond. At the plate, hands are quick (90 mph exit velocity) as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line. Defensively, he takes a quick first step and has plus lateral range. He creates angles around the GB with fluid actions. DP turns are quick with zip (93 mph velocity) on his throws. Defensive abilities are at near pro level as he shows big play potential. On the mound, delivery is sound/repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Fastball shows a range of 89-90 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup and shows a plus feel for pitch with sinking action. Off speed pitches show as an outstanding pitches that will get outs. Aaron has upside on the diamond and will get looks from top collegiate coaches and pro scouts, possibly as a two-way guy.

06/06/2017 - 2017 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Texas Aaron is a very, very talented 2-way (SS/RHP) prospect who can make things happen in a variety of ways on the diamond. At SS, he shows plus lateral range with quick/athletic actions, moving fluidly from right to left through the GB. Hands are soft and exchange is quick/clean with a cannon to throw across the diamond. Offensively, this RHH has a balanced setup with rhythm to load as he gets his hands back into a strong position. Swing is quick as he squares the ball up with pop and drives it to the gaps with power (exit velocity = 92 mph). On the mound, Nixon works to a tall balance point and drives downhill toward the plate. FB shows good arm-side run and sink, cracking the mitt at 92 mph. Curveball and slider are sharp with hard action and both show to be solid 'out' pitches. He maintains quick tempo and doesn't give hitters a chance to settle in. Only a 2020 grad, Aaron possess the tools that are sure to garner him a ton of attention from scouts all over. If he's not on your watch list now, he needs to be.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
