04/08/2018 - College PREP - Plano (DFW), TX Aaron is a solid, athletic 3B who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is solid as indicated by his 60 time of 7.37. At 3B, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active and he displays proper footwork but needs to play through balls more with his body. Glove action is soft /sure but needs to present more out front. Throws are accurate, flashing carry across the diamond but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and makes consistent hard contact with power showing best to the pull side. Aaron has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
