11/11/2012 - College PREP - Shreveport, LA Aaron is a solid/broad/well built RHP/3B that can hit. Offensively, he has an athletic setup, is a gap to gap/spray style hitter that generates fast bat speed and makes hard contact. He has a decent stride/load and on-plane swing path. He is very fluid with his rhythm/timing, but only partially utilizes his lower half. At third base, he has good range and footwork beginning from his ready position. His hands are sure and he has a quick/clean exchange. His release could improve by eliminating his double pat in the glove. Also, he needs to play through the back-hand to get some momentum to throw. On the mound, he displays decent rhythm and throws two pitches, both for strikes. His fastball touched 80 MPH and his curve-ball sat from 68-69 MPH with 10/4 shape. He shows confidence and some mound presence, which help to balance out his lack of clean mechanics. Cleaning up his separation, keeping his shoulders level, staying inline to the dish, and finishing more completely will help make Aaron a more complete pitching package. Overall, we believe Aaron projects best at the hot corner with his ability to swing it.
