11/03/2019 - College PREP - Potomac, MD Aaron continues to showcase his skills on the field. At SS, he shows active footwork and takes good angles to the ball. He gets into a low position and fields with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate and on-line to his target. Long tossing to build up his arm strength can help him improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He takes a direct swing with bat speed, leading to consistent contact and solid pop. Aaron can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing.

03/10/2019 - College PREP - Bel Air (Baltimore), MD Aaron is an athletic MIF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. In the field, Aaron shows fluid footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws consistent to his target. Aaron can improve defensively by long tossing to build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes his stride on time. He gets into his load and produces fast bat speed through the zone, leading to solid line drives. Working a smoother rhythm into his load can help Aaron improve as a hitter. Overall, Aaron is a developing prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.

08/03/2017 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 14-18) Aaron continues to show steady progress in his baseball abilities. In the MIF, he displays smooth / clean actions. Hands are clean and presents well out front. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls but will benefit by playing through with his body. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and works inside the baseball, utilizing all fields. He stays on plane through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently through the swing. At the event, he was 3 for 4. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

07/16/2017 - National Tryout Plus - Washington, DC Aaron continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now an outstanding runner at 6.84. At the plate is where he has improved the most through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing, works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At 2B, he displays quick / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around and plays through balls with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and he presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally, covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program.

11/10/2016 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City Aaron is a lean 3B who will graduate in 2020. At 3B, feet are active / aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through a low approach. Glove action is clean but will benefit by presenting hands more out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on the slow roller play. Range will increase as he improves his foot quickness. At the plate he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively and adds overall body strength. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard. With 4 years to further develop, Aaron has abilities with time and room to continue to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
