12/20/2017 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Aaron continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate, power potential is now solid through a crouched setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. At the event, he was 2 for 5. Behind the plate, pop times showed in showed in the 2.50 range with accuracy on his throws. Feet are active working in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to get rid of the baseball quicker. Glove action is soft as he sticks balls well in the zone but needs to present a lower target. He moves well laterally through the blocking process but needs to get down sooner and work to recovery faster. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.
