Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 3BPosition Projection

11/08/2019 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Abraham is an athletic and hard working 2025 utility prospect that continues to improve each time we see him. At 3B, Abraham is on time with his prep step, he presents a low/early glove, and squares himself up to the ball. He has good hands and makes smart decisions with the ball. Continuing to work on his first step quickness and building arm strength will improve his range for the position. At the plate, Abraham has a good eye for the strike zone but needs to continue to have a middle approach and attack the inside part of the ball with his hands. He keeps his barrel on plane and makes hard contact to the pull side. Abraham will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

01/18/2019 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Abraham is an athletic and talented 2025 3B prospect that is very coachable. At the hot corner, Abraham starts in a relaxed stance, and field the ball in an athletic position. He needs to continue to be on time with his prep step, present a low/early glove, and work from the ground up. Continuing to work on hip mobility and agilities will improve his first step to the ball. At the plate, Abraham starts in an athletic stance, he loads his hands back into the drive position, and he gets his front foot down on time. He keeps the barrel on plane to the ball and has quick hands. He needs to continent to attack the inside part of the ball and keep his head down at contact. Abraham will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
