07/20/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National West This talented prospect continues to impress with his skills on the diamond. At the plate, Adam has simple actions with a relaxed/balanced setup. Hands are quick as he fires the barrel with authority. He drives the ball to the deep parts of the park with HR power (exit velocity = 93 mph). At 1B, Adam (6'4"/180) puts his athleticism on display. Quick/active footwork allow him to move well laterally. He gets good glove extension, working to field the GB out in front with soft/sure hands. He adjusts well around the 1B and can pick it smoothly. Fogel is an exciting prospect whose abilities will take him a long way in the game.

03/15/2015 - National Tryout - Monterey Park (Los Angeles), CA Adam is an athletic 1B who has a projectable frame (6'4"/180). Offensively, this strong righty shows fluid rhythm to work back into a loaded position. Swing path is whipped through the zone with bat speed as he connects and drives the ball to all parts of the field. He will fit the clean-up role nicely with his ability to crush the ball to the gaps. At 1B, Adam works lightly on the balls of his feet and covers ground laterally. He gets his glove on almost everything hit his way while funneling/gathering smoothly. He shows his athleticism and works quickly around the bag. Fogel is a very talented prospect who has a bright future ahead of him in the game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
