06/24/2011 - Maryland Select Training Adam did a great job at the Maryland Training event. He is a 2016 graduate who plays outfield and is a LHP. Adam is a very nice kid that really listens and wants to get better. On the mound he is a competitor with a great pick-off move. He has a small frame but he will gain speed and control as he matures. Adam will get more lower body drive and extension with long toss and towel drills. This will also aid in the break of his curveball. As an outfielder Adam has a clean, quick exchange with active/efficient feet. He displayed playable range, athleticism and hustles. His arm is long, loose and consistent but lacks strength and carry. At the plate Adam loads well and has a short stride. He has a tendency to get his weight too forward and his bat drags. He needs to keep his weight centered. Adam is a very coachable young man who has a bright future in the game.
