02/10/2018 - Mid Atlantic Regional Accelerated Hitting Weekend (Ages 14-18) Adam is a hard working and talented prospect that made several adjustments during the hitting accelerated training weekend. At the plate, Adam starts in a squared stance and gets his front foot down on time. He finds the barrel and is quick to the ball. Continuing to create pre pitch rhythm and separation in his load will allow him to be ready for the ball. Having a loose grip, using the lower half and attacking the inside part of the ball will allow him drive the ball to all fields. Adam will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

12/10/2017 - College PREP - Nyack (NYC), NY Adam is a young, average sized OF with good skills for his age. In the OF, Adam has active feet to the ball, he takes proper angles, and attacks aggressively. He has good pre-pitch actions, he fields athletically, and throws with accuracy from a long arm action to his target. If Adam can play lower throughout the play, add arm strength, and avoid the glove flip, defensive grades can further improve. Offensively, Adam has a square set-up, a proper load, and good balance. He has a quiet approach, a short swing path, and he makes square contact to all fields. A looser grip, lower back elbow, and more lower ½ can help hitting numbers spike.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
