01/24/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - San Jose, CA Adam continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. At 3B, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (84 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he shows a tall setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, he works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and fires from a clean/loose arm action. He gets strong glove-side lead and stays directional toward the dish. FB ranges from 78-80 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup and shows a feel for pitch with arm side run. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (TX) Adam is an athletic RHP/3B prospect who showed well during the Pre-Season All-America Tournament. On the mound, Adam gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and extends through his release, finishing square to the plate. Adam shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 75mph with sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 62-64mph with 11-5 break. In the field, Adam shows active footwork and covers ground well. He fields in a square position and has a clean exchange, making accurate throws with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth to load and leads well with his lower half. He works through a direct swing with fast bat speed, leading to strong contact and gap to gap power. Overall, Adam is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

09/06/2020 - All-In Membership - Stockton (Sacramento), CA Adam continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities with a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.31 runner. At 3B, defensive abilities are well above as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with on line zip (85 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through on his release, staying inline towards the plate. He shows a three pitch with fastball topping out at 81 mph. Fastball shows good arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. He can improve as a pitcher by long tossing to build up his arm strength.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Adam showed well at 3B and on the mound at the Pre-Season AA. He is a lean, athletic player with soft hands, efficient footwork, and he gets into a good fielding position. Adam fields squarely, plays through, and has an accurate arm across the diamond. On the mound, Adam's FB touched 81 MPH, he works quickly, and hides the ball well. He mixes in his slide step to keep base runners honest, and his CB shows nice 10-4 shape. Offensively, Adam has a simple/aggressive swing, good bat speed, and he makes solid/consistent contact. He hits line drives and works the ball well gap to gap.

11/09/2019 - College PREP - Fremont (San Jose), CA Adam is a RHP prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. On the mound, Adam gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and stays inline towards the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. Adam shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 77mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 63-67mph with sharp 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 65-67mph with arm side run as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Long tossing to build up his arm strength can help Adam improve as a pitcher. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He shows fluid rhythm and drives through well with his lower half. He generates fast bat speed through the zone, leading to solid line drives. Adam can improve as a hitter by taking a shorter swing path. Overall, Adam is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

07/09/2019 - California Select Training & Competition - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Adam is a coachable RHP/3B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the California Select Training & Competition. On the mound, Adam gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and accelerates through his release, staying inline towards the plate. On the mound, Adam show a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 75mph. Breaking ball sits from 62-65mph with 11-5 break. In the field, Adam takes a good first step and shows active footwork. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a quick exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance with his hands held high. He is on time getting into a simple load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid line drives. With three more years to develop, Adam has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Adam is a RHP/3B prospect who worked hard during his time at the All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. On the mound, Adam takes a simple rock step and gathers to a balance point over the rubber. He separates his hands on time and works with a quick arm, staying inline towards the plate. Adam shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 72mph. Breaking ball sits at 63mph with 11-5 break. In the field, Adam takes a good first step and displays active footwork. He gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and makes accurate throws with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a crouched stance and takes a short stride. He is on time getting into a simple load and drives his lower half through well. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed and plus barrel control, leading to solid contact to all fields. With three more years to develop, Adam has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

07/17/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Adam is an athletic and talented 2022 2-way prospect that made several adjustments throughout the week at Pirate City. On the bump, Adam gathers over the rubber, has a clean arm swing, and extends thru his release point. He has good tempo and shows command of the fastball down in the zone. He needs to continue to drive the leg toward the plate and improve his pre-game routine in the bullpen. At the hot corner, Adam has a strong arm and makes accurate throws. He needs to work on his prep step, presenting a low/early glove, and his initial read off the bat. At the plate, Adam starts in a tall stance, loads his hands back, and hits off a firm front side. He stays balanced through contact and is aggressive on the fastball. Adam will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

11/09/2017 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Adam is an athletic RHP/3B who has a tremendous future on the diamond. At 3B, feet are active / aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through a low approach. Glove action is soft / sure as he presents well out front. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with baseball jumping off the bat when centered. Power is best shown to the pull side. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 64-70 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for pitch with tailing action. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches, working to get ahead of hitters. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. With 5 years to further develop, Adam has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game, possibly as a two-way guy.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
