06/03/2017 - 2017 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National West Adam continues to show a promising future on the dia-mond. With flexion and good sway he pockets pitches with a soft/sure mitt. Pop times remain in the 2.25 range. At the plate, he has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Barrel is whipped through the zone (87 mph exit velocity) as he connects with strength. The ball jumps off of his barrel as he crushes it to the gaps. A talented prospect - he will make things happen both behind the dish as well as with the bat.

01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Adam is a talented catching prospect who has an above average skill set on both sides of the ball. As a right-handed hitter, Adam has a closed stance with a centered balance. He has fluid rhythm with a good load. Adam has fast bat speed with a direct, on-plane swing path. He uses his lower half throughout his swing and produces hard, consistent contact. Adam has an effective approach and can drive the ball to each gap. Behind the plate, Adam has an athletic setup and presents a low target. He receives the ball with a firm glove. Adam is quick to his knees when needing to block and does a nice job keeping everything in front of him. Adam has momentum through his release throwing from a 3/4 slot with a long arm action. Overall, Adam has good upside and potential to impact a program at the next level.

06/25/2016 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 Adam is going to lead by example wherever he plays, hustling everywhere and being a great player to follow on and off the field. A primary catcher, Adam has all the tools, both tangibly and intangibly to a fixture behind the dish for years to come. He uses his soft but sure hands to be a terrific pitch framer, and his quick feet, along with his hands, to be an even better blocker. Runners will also think twice about stealing on him, as he consistently makes accurate throws to second. A line drive hitter, the ball truly jumps off Adam's bat. While he has a high leg kick, Adam more than makes up for it with his plus hand-eye coordination and extremely quick hands that work directly to the ball. Adam is a special player that still has his best days ahead of him as a great ballplayer.

01/15/2016 - Baseball Factory National Spring Training at Pirate City Adam is a coachable, hardworking catcher with a solid frame and a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. He is an accurate thrower with pop times in the 2.21 range. Receiving / blocking tools show as playable tools as he continues to develop and get more reps. At the plate, hands are loose and work through the point of contact, creating extension. He has strength in his swing and shows a solid feel for the barrel, mainly to the pull side. A 2018 graduate, Adam has a lot of potential and is a sure player to keep an eye on and follow.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
