12/07/2019 - Mid-Atlantic Regional Offensive Skills Weekend (Ages 12-14) Adam is a SS prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Accelerated Training Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He works to barrel up the baseball and drives the ball to his pull side. Working a smoother load into his swing can help Adam improve as a hitter. With five more years to develop, Adam has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

08/11/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Kannapolis (Charlotte), NC Adam is a young, 2-way player who plays OF and SS. In the OF, Adam has quick feet, he is aggressive to the ball, and he moves with agility. He has soft hands, a quick/clean exchange, and he throws with a short arm action to his target. At SS, Adam has active feet, he moves well laterally, and he squares up to the ball. He flashes a nice backhand and throws with accuracy across the diamond. Offensively, Adam has a square/athletic stance, a short stride, and pop for his size. He gets the bat through the zone and shows the ability to spray to all fields. Adam can improve skills with work on the following.

Outfield
1. Lengthen AA
2. Release
3. Follow throws
Infield
1. Aggressiveness
2. Hands
3. Release
Offense
1. Swing path
2. Rhythm
3. Lower body

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
