11/09/2017 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 14-18) Adam continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, power potential has improved through a tall, open setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. In the OF, he displays smooth actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He reads balls well off the bat and works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and a very hard worker.

08/27/2017 - College PREP - Avon (Cleveland), OH Adam is a hardworking outfield prospect who has a well-built, projectable frame and graduates in 2019. As a right-handed hitter, Adam has an open stance with a centered balance. He takes a long stride as his lower half leads his swing. Adam uses his hands well and is developing bat speed. He has an in and out swing path. Adam is a contact type hitter who has the ability to show solid contact to the pull side. In the outfield, Adam works hard and makes the routine plays. He presents his glove late and fields the ball deep in his stance. Adam does a nice job playing with momentum through the baseball. He has a short arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. Overall, Adam is a coachable prospect who plays the game the right way and has potential to advance his skills with development.

11/10/2016 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City Adam is a lean, athletic OF who will graduate in 2019. At the plate is where he showed best through an open / athletic setup with rhythm. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields, flashing gap to gap pop. In the OF, he utilizes his feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles and utilizes two hands well through the fielding process. He works to get behind balls playing through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a hard worker and got better every day. With 3 years to further develop, Adam has abilities with time and room to continue to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
