08/09/2020 - All-In Membership - Kannapolis (Charlotte), NC Adams is a talented 2-way prospect (OF/LHP) who can swing it. With the bat, this LHH shows a square setup with rhythm to load. He takes an aggressive hack with quick hands, whipping the barrel through the zone with speed. The ball explodes off of his barrel as he sprays the gaps (exit velocity = 87 mph). In the Of, he takes a quick first step with solid routes/angles to track down fly-balls. He secures the ball with soft hands, has a clean transfer and works in-line with accuracy on his throws into his target. On the mound, this LHP has a 3-pitch mix coming from a 3/4 arm slot. He works from the stretch, has smooth separation and drives downhill, in-line toward his target. Arm works loose/clean as he repeats well. He pounds the zone and throws strikes with all 3 pitches. FB has slight tailing action ranging from 72-74 mph. Breaking ball has 2/8 shape with good action when released out front. Changeup is thrown with FB arm speed, helping to create deception and complimenting his FB well. Faucett is a skilled 2-way player who will make an impact in this his junior year.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
