01/17/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Adonys continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, defensive abilities have improved as he displays fluid / smooth actions. Feet are active as he works to square balls up and plays with a ton of energy. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Range will increase as he continues to increase foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared / athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has a strength with gap-to-gap pop.

09/29/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Sanford (Orlando), FL Adonys is a tall, athletic, SS with very good skills. Defensively, Adonys has quick/fluid feet, agile movements to the ball, and he fields low and athletically. He has soft hands, he takes good angles to the baseball, and he throws with strength and momentum to his target. Offensively, Adonys has a good approach, solid balance, and plus bat speed. He makes direct/consistent contact, works the ball gap to gap, and he uses his lower body. Added strength will only help overall skills get better.

11/05/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Tampa, FL Adonys is a SS who will graduate in 2024. Defensively at SS, he takes active routes and fields the GB in a low/athletic fielding position. He funnels GB's with soft hands and has a quick exchange to throw. With the stick, this righty shows a square setup with smooth rhythm to load. He swings on a direct path through the zone and sprays pitches to all parts of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
