07/16/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Adrian continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. He did show on the mound for the first time at the event. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up, presenting hands as he makes the plays. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a tall setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 65-67 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

04/28/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Manalapan, NJ Adrian is a 3B prospect who will graduate in 2023. In the field, Adrian shows efficient footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He gets back into his load and leads well with his lower half, making solid contact. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Infield
1. Quicker exchange
2. Play lower
3. Long toss
Hitting
1. Earlier load
2. Swing path
3. Contact points

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
