08/02/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Adrian is an athletic built outfield prospect who has a well-rounded skill set and graduates in 2018. As a right-handed hitter, Adrian has a square setup with his weight in the front of his stance. He has fluid rhythm with a good load and square stride as he uses his lower half throughout his swing. Adrian shows fast bat speed with a direct swing path. He is a line drive type hitter who looks to put the ball in play. In the outfield, Adrian plays with fluid, active footwork and agile actions covering a large territory. He presents his glove and fields the ball athletically. Adrian has a clean exchange leading into a long arm action throwing from an over the top arm slot. He plays with good momentum through the baseball producing consistently online throws. Overall, Adrian has talent on both sides of the ball with good potential to get even better.

05/21/2017 - College PREP - San Antonio, TX Adrian is a lean, lanky OF/C. Foot speed is outstanding as indicated by his 60 time of 6.95. In the OF, he displays smooth/clean actions. He utilizes his feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes/angles. He works to get behind balls but will benefit by playing through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line to his target through a clean transfer/exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times showed a range of 2.16-2.25 with accuracy/carry on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Hands are soft/sure and he tracks balls well through the receiving process. He uses his body well through the blocking process and moves well laterally, centering all balls out front. At the plate, he shows a squared/athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive approach. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he works to utilize his lower half more efficiently. Adrian has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
