08/10/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Sugar Land (Houston), TX Adriel is a C/OF prospect who will graduate in 2021. Behind the plate, Adriel shows efficient footwork and covers up well when blocking. He sits in a low stance and presents a good target to the pitcher. He makes a clean exchange and gains ground well on his throws, creating good carry through the 2B bag. Staying low when moving to throw can help Adriel improve as a C. In the OF, Adriel shows active footwork and fields ground balls out in front of his body. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Adriel can improve as an OF by increasing his lateral range. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a square stride. He gets back into his load and gets good extension through the ball, producing solid contact to all fields. Maintaining center balance throughout his swing can help Adriel improve as a hitter. Overall, Adriel is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.
