12/27/2013 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City Adrien continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities both at 2B and on the mound. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, but will benefit by continuing to increase foot quickness. At the plate is where Malinowski has improved the most through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a solid line drive approach. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more and builds more overall body strength. At the event, he was 3 for 10. At 2B, he displays proper footwork and attacks ground balls, playing through well with his body. Hands are soft / clean but needs to be presented more out front to continue to improve, defensive grade. Arm strength has improve, displaying accuracy and carry into his target. On the mound, Off speed stuff has improved, now showing potential as quality pitches that will get outs. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with sharp / late breaking action. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for with solid sinking action. Fastball shows a range of 74-78 mph. Control is a plus as he throws strikes with all his pitches and changes speeds well. Stock to the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength and work to throw more strikes. Mental makeup is a plus as he plays hard and is very coachable and is very competitive.
