01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Afat continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. In the OF, he utilizes his quick/aggressive feet as he moves well laterally (6.82 60 time), displaying range as he covers a ton of ground. He displays smooth/clean actions with hands/feet working well together through the fielding process as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and zip (84 mph velocity) on his throws. Afat has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from college coaches and pro scouts with his baseball abilities.

12/27/2017 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Afat is a long, lean OF who is a prospect on the diamond. Foot speed is tremendous as indicated by his 60 time of 6.70. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth/athletic actions. He utilizes his athletic feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes/angles and utilizes two hands well through the fielding process. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and moves well laterally, covering a lot ground. Arm strength (88 mph velocity) is outstanding with throws displaying life, accuracy, and on line carry to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Mental makeup is outstanding as he has a positive attitude, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. Afat has the makings of a special type player and will catch the eyes of collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
