07/23/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Agapito is a coachable SS/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Agapito shows active footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into a square position and fields with a relaxed glove. He makes a clean exchange and throws from a 3/4 angle, keeping his throws accurate and strong through his target. Continuing to develop his body can help Agapito improve defensively. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an open stance and takes a centered stride. He is fluid getting into a simple load and hits against a strong front side. He shows strong barrel control and sprays the ball to all fields. Agapito can improve as a hitter by taking a more level swing path. On the mound, Agapito gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works inline toward the plate and gets good extension through his release, finishing with his chest over his front knee. Agapito shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 69 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 57-60 mph with 11-5 break. Long tossing to build up his arm strength will help to increase velocity on his FB. With five more years to develop, Agapito has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.
