01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Aidan is a 2B who showed as a top prospect at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. At the plate - he has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a solid line drive approach. At 2B, he has plus lateral range (7.06 60 time), working from the ground-up with smooth actions. Transfer is quick as he fires strong throws (84 mph velocity) zipping across the diamond.

01/27/2019 - College PREP - San Diego, CA Aidan is an athletic 2B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. In the field, Aidan shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and keeps his throws on-line to his target. Gaining more momentum on his throws can help Aidan improve defensively. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an open stance and is smooth getting into his load. He drives through with his lower half and takes a level swing path, leading to consistent contact to all fields. Aidan can improve as a hitter by taking a square stride to the pitcher. Overall, Aidan is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

10/17/2018 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic Aidan is a thin and lanky 2020 middle infield prospect that worked hard during the Junior Fall Classic. At SS, Aidan is on time with his prep step, he presents a low/early glove, and fields the ball in front of his body. He funnels the ball into his body, has a clean exchange, and throws from multiple arm angles. At the plate, Aidan starts in an athletic stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and handles the barrel well. He hits off a firm front side, creates backspin on the ball, and drives the ball to all fields. He needs to continue to attack the inside part of the ball and create backside rotation with his lower half. He has a good approach at the plate and good pitch recognition. Aidan is very athletic and is fun to watch. He will continue to improve with experience and will be a difference maker at the next level.

07/18/2018 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 16U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Aidan improved his defensive abilities at the event. At 2B, defensive abilities are now solid as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy on his throws. He will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine, through a crouched setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to improve as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup may be his best tool as he plays the game the right way.

01/28/2018 - National Tryout Plus - San Diego, CA Aidan is a lean, athletic OF/SS prospect who can contribute all over the field. His speed is a major asset in the field and on the bases. He shows smooth actions at both positions in the field and uses his athleticism to surround the ball to gain momentum to his target. His hands are quick and clean to transfer and get rid of the ball, making good DP turns and throws from the outfield. At the plate, he shows simple mechanics with an on-time stride and load to a stacked position. His hands are loose on a level path to the ball and he makes consistent line drive contact for base hits. Driving through his lower half will improve his power and lead to extra base hits. Aidan is a well-rounded player who would be a welcome addition to any team.

06/17/2017 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Aidan only showed at SS and continues to show a promising future on the diamond. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with baseball exploding off the bat centered as he works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Defensively, he attacks balls, plays through well, and presents soft / sure hands out front. He gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy across the diamond. Mental makeup is a plus as he is extremely coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

01/29/2017 - College PREP - San Diego, CA Aidan is a talented SS/RHP prospect who has a good approach to the game and graduates in 2020. In the field, Aidan plays with effective footwork taking the correct angles to cover good ground. He gets around the baseball and fields it squarely with a stiff glove. He has a clean exchange leading into a loose arm action throwing from a 3/4 slot. Aidan shows strong, accurate throws across the diamond. Offensively, Aidan has a square stance with a centered balance. He takes a good load with a square stride as he uses his lower half throughout his swing. Aidan has an on-plane swing path producing consistent contact. He does a nice job driving the ball to the opposite field. On the mound, Aidan has a balanced, on-time delivery throwing with a loose arm action from a 3/4 slot. He extends through his release as he rotates towards his target and has a controlled landing. His fastball has good cut action and his curveball breaks 12-6 o'clock. Overall, Aidan has good upside and a bright future on the diamond as he continues to develop his skills.

07/24/2016 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Aiden is a wiry athlete who is a real team player and has good baseball instincts. He is an advanced hitter with a good feel at the plate and is tough to get out. He has an athletic setup with smooth actions, a good load getting to a power position and coordination with his lower half. He shows of some unexpected pop with a direct path to the baseball and quick hands through the zone. As a middle infielder, he attacks balls hit his way and does a good job working around to gain momentum to his target. He fields low with good range to both his glove side and backhand and makes accurate throws. Speeding up his exchange will lead to better DP turns and help Aiden become a complete infielder. This is a kid who will continue to improve as he grows with his hard working personality.

07/14/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Aidan is a (2020 grad) R/R MIF. At the plate, this RHH has a square setup with a solid base. He works his hands back to a good bat angle as he waits for his pitch. He connects and extends through his finish well. Leveling out his swing and developing improved balance will help to take his offensive game to the next level. In the MIF, Aidan comes to get the GB and works into a square fielding position. He tracks the ball in, gathers well and works in-line toward his target at 1B. More prep footwork will allow for quicker lateral movements. Gaining more arm strength through a long toss program will be very beneficial as he continues to develop. This young MIF has a ton of time to fine tune his skills.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
