01/16/2023 - National Showcase - Houston, TX Aidan is a SS/C prospect who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame athletic build with strength present. At SS, good prep step to start, with active/efficient footwork, and showed ability to play through baseball. Works from right to left as he fields from an athletic/square fielding position with a clean transfer. He has a short arm stroke, with a quick release, and keeps his feet moving on his throws. Made accurate and on-line throws to first base with an arm velocity up to 82mph. Behind the dish, he has an easy sit, with active footwork, and has good body control. Has an athletic/square secondary stance and presents a good target. Works with good direction to second base and gains ground. Made accurate and on-line throws with a best pop time of 2.09 seconds. He creates good blocking angles with ability to deaden balls. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance. He gets good hand separation, with smooth timing, and is centered at contact. He hits into a firm frontside, with good barrel control, and gets extended through the baseball. He hit balls consistently into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 84mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Aidan having opportunities to play at the next level.

Academic All-American Tournament (MS) Aidan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities at the Academic All-American tournament. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, he displays clean/smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 69 mph. Fastball showed a range of 66-69 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/27/2019 - National Tryout - Houston, TX Aidan worked out at SS and on the mound during his last workout with The Factory. Defensively, Aidan showed good pre-pitch actions, a low fielding position, and the ability to take good angles to the ball. He works the double plays well, his exchange is quick and clean, and he throws with carry and accuracy to his target. On the mound, Aidan has a easy/smooth delivery, a clean arm circle, and he lands with a proper length stride toward home plate. Offensively, Aidan has an open stance, good balance, and a compact swing. He has a direct barrel, makes square contact, and he uses his lower body.

07/05/2018 - California Select Training & Competition - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Aidan is a talented and hardworking 2025 2-way player. At SS, Aidan is on time with his pre-step, reads the ball off the bat well, and presents a low/early glove. He works from the ground up, has a clean exchange, and throws from multiple arm angles. At the plate, Aidan starts in an athletic stance and loads his hands back into the drive position. He uses his lower half, stays compact, and creates backspin on the ball. He stays balanced through contact and is a line drive hitter. On the bump, Aidan gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and extends thru his delivery. He works north to south and commands the bottom half of the zone. Aidan has a high baseball IQ and will continue to improve with experience. We hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
