12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Aidan continues to show as a prospect on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.84 runner. At 2B, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Glove action is soft / sure and presents out front. Throws are accurate with carry (86 mph velocity) to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground in the MIF. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 78 mph. Fastball showed a range of 75-78 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

11/06/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Gambrills, MD Aidan is a SS/RHP prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the diamond. In the field, Aidan shows quick footwork and covers ground well. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with a firm glove. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making on-line throws to his target. Following his throws can help Aidan make stronger throws. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a closed stance and takes his stride on time. He gets back into his load and engages his lower half well. He works through a direct swing with fast bat speed, driving the ball from gap to gap. Aidan can create more consistent contact by working a smoother rhythm into his load. On the mound, Aidan gathers over the rubber and works with a quick arm. He stays inline toward the plate and finishes square to his target. Aidan operates with a four pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 76mph. Curveball sits from 58-60mph with 11-5 break. Slider sits from 63-65mph with good movement. Changeup sits at 65mph with arm side run as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Lengthening his arm action can help Aidan improve his pitch command and velocity. Overall, Aidan is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

09/25/2022 - All-In Membership - York, PA Aidan is a 2B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2023. In the field, Aidan shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate/on-line throws to his target. Taking a better prep step can help Aidan make more plays. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a closed stance and gets back into his load well. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
