Foot speed is near average as he will benefit by getting on a speed / agility program to improve foot quickness for the next level. Feet are active as he comes gets the baseball but needs to be more aggressive in playing through with his body. Hands are soft, clean but get deep due to feet stopping through the fielding process. He shows quick actions moves well to his glove side. Throws are accurate, flashing carry as he will benefit by getting on a long toss program to aid in building more arm strength, plus raising velocities. Offensively, Freeburg shows a balanced approach through a squared stance. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed to and through the ball creating extension. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with power numbers improving as he learns to load more and transfer weight properly through his lower half. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 74-78 mph on a slight downhill plane. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late depth. Changeup shows solid feel for with arm side run. He throws strikes with all his pitches, changing speeds well. Stock on the mound will rise quickly as more arm strength is gained. With 2 years to further develop, Aidan has abilities with time and room to improve.
