11/03/2018 - Mid-Atlantic Regional Pitching and Catching Weekend (Ages 14-18) Aidan is an athletic and talented pitching prospect that made several adjustments throughout the Mid Atlantic Regional Pitching and Catching Weekend. On the bump, Aidan has good mound presence, a simple start, and gathers over the rubber. He has a relaxed knee lift, separates on time, and has a loose arm action. Aidan needs to continue to work north to south and ride his back leg toward the plate. This will help him work over the front, increase velocity, and improve his overall direction in his delivery. He has late run on his fastball and a downward action on his changeup. Continuing to improve his balk move to first and developing a third pitch will elevate his game to the next level. Aidan is a hard worker and will continue to improve with experience.

07/14/2018 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Aidan is an athletic and tall 2019 2-way prospect. At 1B, Aidan presents a low/early glove, and creates angles to the ball. He has a clean exchange, a loose arm, and makes accurate throws across the diamond. Aidan will improve his first step quickness through his agility work. At the plate, Aidan starts in an athletic stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and keeps a quiet head. He attacks the ball with his lower half and stays balanced through contact. Getting his front foot down on time and keeping a middle approach will allow him to increase his ability to recognize balls and strikes. On the bump, Aidan gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and has a clean arm action. Aidan needs to continue to work north to south and be more aggressive in his delivery. Aidan made several adjustments during the week and is eager to learn. He will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

03/18/2018 - College PREP - Ashburn (DC), VA Aidan continues to show steady progress in his baseball abilities. He showed a lot of improvement at the plate since we last saw him. Hands are loose and work to and through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through, flashing gap-to-gap pop. In the OF, feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through well with momentum to his target. Glove action is soft and he presents well, utilizing two hands through the process. On the mound, his breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Given his improvements with the bat, Aidan may best project out as a 1B in the future.

11/09/2017 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 14-18) Aidan is an athletic, projectable two-way player who always hustles and is a great team player. He has feel to hit at the dish with the ability to make hard contact on a consistent basis. He shows good timing with his front foot and launches through the zone on a level path, with knowledge of where he wants the ball. His bat is fast through the zone with a strong lower half generating pop as he makes hard contact. In the outfield, he attacks balls hit his way with active footwork and energy. He shows off an accurate arm as he gains momentum to his target on the release. Working on first step quickness and fly ball reads will make him a complete fielder. On the bump, this southpaw shows good composure with the poise to help him work out of jams. He has sound mechanics with a strong balance point and in line direction to throw his fastball, curveball, changeup mix for strikes. Aidan is an interesting prospect we look forward to continue watching.

07/16/2017 - College PREP - Washington, DC Aidan is a tall, lanky LHP who will graduate in 2019. Delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his arm action to work free to the plate. He shows good tempo through a strong balance point. Fastball showed a range of 64-68 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with loose, early break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup and shows a feel for the pitch. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 2 years to further develop, Aidan has abilities with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
