01/07/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (AZ) Aidan is a 2023 C who showcased his skills at the Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-American Tournament. Behind the dish, he showed quiet actions with good lateral range. Works with good direction towards second base as he replaces his feet and throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. Shows a low target for pitchers to throw to. Made accurate and on-line throws with an arm velocity up to 89mph and a best pop time of 2.00 seconds. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and even stance. Has a decent load, with a hip hinge, and showed ability to keep his hands in the zone for a long time. Has a direct barrel path as he squared up baseballs to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 84mph. In live game action, Aidan reached base 4 times with a pair of singles and walked 2 times. With another year of development, we foresee Aidan having a bright future on the baseball field.

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Aidan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities at the Recruiting Classic showcase. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, deadening balls well out front. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.02 as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy / carry (86 mph velocity) on his throws. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying solid hitting abilities with outstanding power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well as he transfers weight well into a firm front side.

07/21/2021 - Baseball Factory Southwest Championships 16U Aidan is a pure catch and throw backstop who also will make an impact with the bat. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. Quick lateral movements allow him to center/deaden pitches in the dirt off a soft chest. Runners will not want to test his cannon for an arm (88 mph) with impressive pop times of 2.04. Offensively, he continues to shine through a squared setup. He has athletic/smooth actions with fluid rhythm to load. He gets good hand separation and delivers the barrel with leverage, resulting in a barrel explosion (86 mph exit velocity) with the ball screaming off his barrel.

03/21/2021 - All-In Membership - Phoenix , AZ Aidan is a lean, athletic C/SS who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the dish, he presents a firm mitt, sticking balls in the zone. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Receiving / blocking skills show as outstanding tools that will play well at the next level. Pop times showed in 2.08 range with accuracy / carry (84 mph velocity) on his throws. At SS, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active and attacks balls, playing through well with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a tall setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. With 2 years to further develop, Aidan has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
