07/10/2023 - National Showcase - Cleveland, OH Aiden is a Catcher in the 2024 class from a traditionally strong Gilmour Academy program. Behind the plate, he shows flexibility and centers his body to the baseball. Stays square to the plate, and his pocket has feel. Shows solid footwork and a quick release at 2.08. Blocks were consistent and was quick to recover. Working on his accuracy will be a key point as he advances on the diamond. At the plate, he shows a middle of the field approach and solid balance. Can get the barrel out for pull side power and his bat stays on-plane. Working to use his lower half will increase his ability to drive the baseball. Overall, Aiden should make a solid contribution to his HS team next spring.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
