Official Scouting Report

07/30/2018 - College PREP - York, PA Aidan is a two-way prospect who uses his long levers to his benefit on the mound and at the dish. He anchors the infield at first with soft hands to pick tough throws and has range to make all of the plays. His pre-pitch routine gets him in a good fielding position and he is athletic to field. His hands are soft and he shows a quick exchange and release to make accurate throws and start the DP. At the plate, he shows feel for the strike zone and his swing path, staying back on the ball and using all fields for base hits. He shows good bat speed and a level path through the zone to deliver the barrel consistently. On the mound, he works quickly to keep hitters off balance, featuring a fastball with sink and two breaking balls with different action. His delivery is compact and repeatable with good direction to the plate and extension on his finish. Lengthening his arm action will allow him to get more whip and increase velocity moving forward. Aidan is an exciting, young prospect who we look forward to watching as he continues improving.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
