Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • RHP/OFPosition Projection

07/10/2018 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Aidan is a hardworking RHP/OF prospect who has a tall, lanky build. On the mound, Aidan pitches with an aggressive approach and an athletic motion. He has balanced mechanics throwing from an over the top arm slot. Aidan keeps his eyes on his target and is working to stay in line to home plate. He has a projectable skill set featuring 3 pitches with good potential. Aidan stays composed and has a feel for pitching. Offensively, Aidan has a square setup with a centered balance. He has a short, closed stride as he partially uses his lower half throughout his swing. Aidan has a long swing path and is developing bat speed. He is a line drive type hitter who looks to put the ball in play. In the field, Aidan has a good first step and gains ground. He has an aggressive approach as he attacks the baseball. Aidan works hard and makes the routine plays. He has a long arm action and is working to play through the baseball. Overall, Aidan is a well-rounded prospect who has good potential to elevate his skills with development.

03/18/2018 - College PREP - Kannapolis (Charlotte), NC Aidan is a tall and lanky 2020 2-way player. In the OF, Aidan creates angles and is aggressive to the ball. He works behind the ball and has a clean exchange. At the plate, Aidan starts in a squared stance and has fluid pre-pitch movements. He shows feel with the barrel and has an opposite field approach. On the bump, Aidan gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and works north to south. Aidan will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
