09/26/2020 - Fall Pro Training Experience - MD (HS) Aiden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.48. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic (Ages 12-14) Aiden is an athletic and talented Catching prospect that was eager to learn. Behind the dish, Aiden presents a low/early glove and he tries to work behind the ball when receiving. When blocking, Aiden leads with his glove, he creates a good angle over the ball, and he tucks his chin. Aiden’s blocking technique improved drastically over 3 days. When throwing, Aiden has a quick exchange and has carry on the ball. He needs to continue to have proper footwork and stay low when he throws. At the plate, Aiden starts in a squared and crouched stance. He has active hands when he loads, he swings with intent, and has a pull side approach. He needs to be in a balanced position, rotate his backside, and look to use the whole field. Aiden will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

11/03/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Vinton (Roanoke), VA Aiden is a tall, athletic, 2-way player who catches and plays OF. Behind the plate, Aiden has efficient footwork, he tracks well, and plays with high energy. He has a quick exchange and an accurate arm with strength to 2nd base. Pop times were as low as 2.58 seconds. In the OF, Aiden has playable hands and feet, he makes plays on balls hit his way, and throws with direction to his cut off man. At the plate, this RHH has a square stance, a short stride, and good balance. He has a level/direct barrel and hits line drives. Aiden can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
