06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Aiden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting abilities are now well above average with outstanding power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (91 mph exit velocity) as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line. Defensively, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Feet are active but needs to attack balls and play through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 72-76 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He slows arm speed on his changeup, tipping off pitch to hitters. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Aiden continues to show as a prospect at the Preseason Rookie event with improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. In the OF, he displays smooth, clean actions. Feet are active as he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He reads balls well off the bat and works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Range will continue to improve as he continues to improve foot quickness. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date, topping out at 80 mph. Fastball showed a range of 74-80 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with sharp break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for the pitch with sinking action. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

12/16/2018 - Interactive Video Program - El Paso, TX Aiden is an atheltic RHP/1B prospect who will graduate in 2023. On the mound, Aiden gathers over the rubber and works with a loose, free arm. He stays inline towards the plate and finishes with his chest square to the plate. Aiden shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 76mph with late arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 64-66mph with late 10-4 break. Changeup sits from 64-66mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. In the field, Aiden covers ground well and fields with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and keeps his throws accurate and on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He gets into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He works to barrel up the baseball and drives the ball to all fields. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
