Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.03 with accuracy / carry (82 mph velocity) on his throws. Offensively, he continues to shine through a squared setup. He has athletic/smooth actions with fluid rhythm to load. He gets good hand separation through a balanced approach. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 2 years to further develop, Aiden has potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

With the bat, this lefty remains balanced waiting for a pitch he can drive. Hands are quick as he connects and create good extension through his finish. On the mound, this RHP has a 3-pitch mix (FB, CB, CH) coming from a high 3/4 arm slot. He works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and keeps his eyes on the target. He pounds the zone with strikes with his FB topping out at 71 mph. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape with tight spin. Hancock has a solid all-around skill-set with upside as he's only a 2024 grad.

12/14/2019 - Florida Regional Offensive Skills and Pitching/Catching Combined Weekend (Ages 14-18)
Aiden is a coachable and talented 2024 catching prospect that worked hard all weekend. Behind the dish, Aiden starts in an athletic stance, he presents a low/early glove, and works behind the ball. When throwing, he has a clean exchange and a strong arm. He needs to continue to gain ground, create momentum into the ball, and keep his shoulders in line with the base he's throwing too. When blocking, he needs to anticipate the ball in the dirt, lead with his glove, and replace the ground with his shins. At the plate, Aiden starts in an athletic stance, he loads his hands back, and get his front foot down on time. He needs to continue to rotate his backside, attack the inside part of the ball, and get extension through contact. Continuing to do the window drill will help improve his ability to be compact to the ball. Aiden is a hard worker and we hope to see his progress in the future.
