01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Aiden continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. Quick lateral movements allow him to center/deaden pitches in the dirt off a soft chest. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.03 with accuracy / carry (82 mph velocity) on his throws. Offensively, he continues to shine through a squared setup. He has athletic/smooth actions with fluid rhythm to load. He gets good hand separation through a balanced approach. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 2 years to further develop, Aiden has potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

11/14/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - New Orleans, LA Aiden is a class of 2024 Catcher prospect. Behind the plate, he used good footwork and a short arm action to create pop times as low as 2.13. Clean and quick exchanges helped him get the ball out quickly. Raw arm velo was as high as 85 MPH. Showed good athleticism and flexibility when catching. Did a good job creating angles when blocking. Showed feel for the pocket and the ability to work the glove around the strike zone. At the plate, he showed great feel for the barrel and consistently made hard contact. Showed an advanced approach and the ability to drive the baseball to all parts of the field. Showed good hand speed and the ability to keep them inside the baseball. Stayed balanced and did a good job using his lower 1/2. Aiden is a good prospect that we hope to see again in the coming years as he continues to work towards playing in college.

02/21/2021 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Pensacola, FL Aiden continues to work hard and progress on the diamond. Behind the dish, he sits in well with athletic actions and flexion. He tracks pitches into a soft mitt, framing well. He is quick laterally to block/center pitches in the dirt off of his chest. Transfer is quick/clean with accuracy on his throws - pop times now at 2.21. With the bat, this lefty remains balanced waiting for a pitch he can drive. Hands are quick as he connects and create good extension through his finish. On the mound, this RHP has a 3-pitch mix (FB, CB, CH) coming from a high 3/4 arm slot. He works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and keeps his eyes on the target. He pounds the zone with strikes with his FB topping out at 71 mph. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape with tight spin. Hancock has a solid all-around skill-set with upside as he's only a 2024 grad.

12/11/2020 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Aiden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.40 with accuracy to his target. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

12/14/2019 - Florida Regional Offensive Skills and Pitching/Catching Combined Weekend (Ages 14-18) Aiden is a coachable and talented 2024 catching prospect that worked hard all weekend. Behind the dish, Aiden starts in an athletic stance, he presents a low/early glove, and works behind the ball. When throwing, he has a clean exchange and a strong arm. He needs to continue to gain ground, create momentum into the ball, and keep his shoulders in line with the base he's throwing too. When blocking, he needs to anticipate the ball in the dirt, lead with his glove, and replace the ground with his shins. At the plate, Aiden starts in an athletic stance, he loads his hands back, and get his front foot down on time. He needs to continue to rotate his backside, attack the inside part of the ball, and get extension through contact. Continuing to do the window drill will help improve his ability to be compact to the ball. Aiden is a hard worker and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
