02/03/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Mobile, AL Aiden is a young, 2-way player who catches and plays 3rd base. Behind the plate, Aiden presents his glove well through a good set-up and efficient footwork. He moves well laterally, gets down quickly to block, and has an accurate arm with momentum to 2nd base. In the INF, Aiden has active feet, he gets in a good ready position, and he fields low and athletically. He has good fundamentals, a clean exchange, and throws with momentum from a loose arm action across the diamond. Offensively, Aiden can switch hit and is slightly better from the right at this time. He swings aggressively, he can spray to all fields, and he uses his lower body. From the left side, Aiden keeps a still head, he makes consistent contact, and he can hit the ball the opposite way. Overall skills can continue to improve with work on the following.

1. Blocking
2. Arm strength
3. Arm slot
1. Exchange
2. Backhand
1. Bat speed
2. Rhythm
3. Swing path

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
