08/27/2023 - National Showcase - Plainview (Lubbock), TX Aiden is a 2025 graduate out of Odessa High. Since our last viewing 7 months prior, Aiden has shaved almost 1/2 second off his 60 yard dash time now down to 7.66 seconds. He has gotten lighter on his feet which has helped his overall game. We saw more explosiveness all the way around evidenced by his increase of 6 inches on his standing broad jump now at 7'2". Defensively at 1B, he creates a proper glove angle and his feet/hands work well together. Arm now up to 77mph on his pulldown. At the plate, he makes noise when he barrels up the baseball. Solid line drive approach with late bat whip. On the mound, fastball topped out at 72mph with his cutter 65-67mph and his change-up 65-66mph. He works both sides of the plate and shows late movement on all three pitches. With two more years of high school baseball, Aiden is well on his way of taking his craft to the next level.

01/08/2023 - Official College Recruiting Membership - San Antonio, TX Aiden is a 1B/LHP who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame stocky build with strength present. At 1B, he starts with a good pre-pitch routine and keeps ball in front. Plays with good effort and energy. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity on his throws to second base up to 73mph. On the mound, he starts with a small rocker step and keeps his eyes on target throughout delivery. Rotates to target and brings chest to glove. Throws a FB that sits 69-72mph with arm side run and a cutter with some downward movement. FB was best pitch during his bullpen. A left-handed hitter, he starts with an upright and open stance. He gets his hands separated, with intent in swing, and keeps the barrel in the zone for a long time. Gets on-plane early as he made hard contact to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 81mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Aiden having a bright future on the baseball diamond.

11/18/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Fall Prospects Tournament (HS) Aiden is a 1B who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame, well proportioned, and some athleticism with a lot of room to fill out. At 1B, starts with active feet and good body control. Ability to pick out hops and make routine plays during games. Square fielding position as he tried to spin glove side on throws to second base. Short arm action into a 3/4 release point with accurate/on-line throws. A left-handed hitter, he hits from an athletic and even stance. Showed good balance at contact, with a flat barrel, and natural strength at contact. Showed pull side power and had a bat exit velocity of 82 mph. Reached base 2 times in live game action. With continued development, we see him having a bright future on the baseball diamond.

01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (HS) Aiden is a 2025 1B/LHP who showcased his skills at the Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament. On the mound, he has a simple and repeatable delivery. He picks up target early as he gathers over the rubber. He gets a good glove tuck and showed ability to change planes with his pitches. He attacks hitters with a fastball that sits 69-70mph, a 1/7 shaped breaking ball, and a developing changeup. At 1B, he starts with active feet and showed ability to make routine plays. He works to center the baseball and tracks ball to glove with a low funnel. Made accurate and on-line throws to second base, with momentum towards target, and an arm velocity up to 74mph. A left-handed hitter, he hits from a tall and open stance. He engages his lower half and is short to baseball. He sprayed balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 78mph. In live game action, he reached base 6 times with a single, drew 5 base on balls, and was hit by a pitch. Aiden is a solid 2-way prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field with further development.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
