06/05/2019 - 2019 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Florida Alan is an athletic and strong 2020 catching prospect. Behind the dish, Alan has a clean exchange and a quick release when throwing. He has plus arm strength and proper footwork. At the plate, Alan starts in an open stance and looks to do damage to the ball. He loads his hands back into the drive position, rotates his backside, and keeps his head down at contact. He makes consistent hard contact, attacks the inside part of the ball, and creates backspin on the ball. Alan has tremendous upside and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
