07/07/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory's National West Showcase Alec is an outstanding defender at the premium position of SS. He has live, active feet and plays in the infield with confidence. He reads balls well off the bat, takes good angles and picks his hops well before finishing plays with a quick release and strong arm (90 mph raw velocity). Alec also shows a natural feel around the bag when feeding and turning double plays. At the plate, Alec singled in the live at bats and has a line drive stroke. There is some stiffness in the move through contact but he uses the whole field well and shows barrel accuracy.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
