01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Alec is an athletic built SS/OF prospect who has an above average skill set. As a switch-hitter, Alec has talent on both sides of the plate showing slight more power from the right side. He has a square setup with comfortable hands and a firm front side. Alec has an activated load with on-time rhythm and a short, square stride. He shows fast bat speed and maintains a flat barrel through the zone. Alec has good coordination and engages his lower half throughout his swing. Alec is a line drive type hitter who produces hard contact. In the field, Alec has an athletic ready position and plays on the balls of his feet. He has a quick first step and presents his glove as he fields the ball in an athletic position. Alec has a clean exchange leading into a short, quick arm action. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot showing strong, accurate throws across the diamond. Overall, Alec can make an impact on both sides of the ball and is definitely a prospect to watch.

03/22/2015 - Interactive Video Program - Brentwood (Long Island), NY Alec is a young (5'0"/190) 2-way player as a SS/RHP. Defensively, he shows active footwork with smooth/athletic actions. He is sure handed, gathers well and has a quick/clean exchange to throw. With the bat, this RHH shows a square setup with good balance. Swing path is short/direct to and through the zone as he connects and hits line-drives to all parts of the field. On the mound, Alec has a 3-pitch mix (FB, CB, CH) coming from a 3/4 arm slot. FB has late sink/cut as it ranges from 59-65 mph. Breaking ball has 10/4 shape (51-53) while changeups has late run. He fills up the zone and throws strikes consistently. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
