Alec is a young man who roams the OF with foot speed that is only improving since the last time we saw him. In the OF, Alec shows an excellent amount of athleticism and foot work, he makes things look easy, he's effortless, and makes accurate throws. He would make himself an even better OF by developing more arm strength allowing for more carry on his throws and by cleaning up his exchange from glove to throwing hand. At the plate, Stand has a smooth, easy stroke and uses an adequate amount of his lower half when swinging. Alec would benefit from letting the ball travel allowing him to hit to all fields and square the ball up more effectively.

Alec is a young outfielder with a solid body that has a lot of athletic actions in it. Foot speed is outstanding and he utilizes his quick, athletic feet in tracking down balls in the outfield. He takes proper routes and angles in working to get behind fly balls, playing through with momentum to target. Arm strength is slightly average with a solid transfer to throw. He does bar out arm causing a slinging type arm action. He does need to get on a strict long toss program to aid in further developing more arm strength. At the plate, Stand has solid average ability and power. He shows a balanced approach and keeping hands inside the baseball, utilizing all fields. He shows a feel for the barrel and rotates hips well in the lower half. He has an idea at the plate and power numbers will increase as more body strength is added. With 2 years to further develop, Alec will catch the eyes of the college coaches and should become a solid player at the next level.
