01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Alejandro is an athletic and talented 2021 2-way prospect. At 1B, Alejandro is on time with his prep-step, starts on the balls of hit feet, and works off the bag well. He presents a low/early glove and makes accurate throws on double plays. At the plate, Alejandro starts in a crouched stance, has good rhythm in his load, and attacks the inside part of the ball. He has explosive bat speed and consistently drives the ball with power to all fields. On the bump, Alejandro finds a balance point, separates on time, and has a clean arm action. He throws his fastball for strikes, has some feel for the changeup, and has a plus breaking ball. He competes on the mound and fields his position well. Alejandro will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

12/04/2016 - Interactive Video Program - McCook (Chicago), IL Alejandro is a big 1B/LHP who can swing the bat. At 1B, he displays pre pitch movement as he fields GB's in a low, athletic position. He's a big target and can pick balls thrown low in the dirt. On the mound, this LHP pounds his FB down in the zone. He delivers a 3-pitch mix as he commands the zone and finishes strong. With the bat, Alejandro drives the ball with power. He explodes his lower 1/2 through the zone with quick bat speed. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
