01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Alex continues to show as a top prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. At the plate, he has improved, now displaying solid hitting / power potential through a squared setup. He has athletic/smooth actions with fluid rhythm to load. He gets good hand separation through a balanced approach. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength (80 mph exit velocity) and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfers weight from backside into a firm front side.

10/06/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Columbia, MD Alex is a lean OF who will graduate in 2023. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 2 years to further develop, Alex has potential with time and room to progress his game.

09/03/2021 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) Alex is an OF prospect who showcased his skills during the All-Region Tournament. In the field, Alex takes good angles and works behind the ball well. He plays through the ball and makes accurate throws to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a quiet stance and gets into a strong load. He barrels up the baseball and drives the ball up the middle. Overall, Alex is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
