07/27/2023 - Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Alex is an energetic 6ft 2/192 3B/RHP in the 2025 class. Defensively, he plays the position with great awareness and feel. Arm is his best tool with velo at 83 and is spot on with his accuracy. He positions his body to be on time with the hop and working to add flexibility to his legs and hips will allow him to stay low to the ground. On the mound, he operates with a 2-pitch mix from the stretch. He is aggressive and works to battle with hitters. His FB touched 75 and cut inside the strike zone. His CB sat 66-9 with 10-4 shape and medium break. At the plate, he begins with a tall and open stance and shows comfortable hands. Can generate power with 86 bat speed and creates hard outs in game actions. Overall, college coaches should not sleep on this excellent 2025 prospect.

05/14/2023 - National Showcase - Plainview (Lubbock), TX Alex is a C/3B prospect who will graduate in 2025. Tall frame stout build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Behind the dish, he presents a low target that pitchers lover throwing to and has a loud mitt. Works his thumb under baseball keeping pitches in the zone. Throws from a high 3/4 release point and had an arm velocity up to 81mph and a best pop time of 2.3 seconds. At 3B, he works to center the baseball with ability to pick out hops. Fields out front with soft hands and keeps his eyes behind glove. Made accurate throws to first base. Our scouts feel Alex showed better at 3B during his workout. At the plate he hits from a tall and even stance. Gets good hand separation with ability to keep his hands inside the baseball. During his rounds of BP, he hit balls hard to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 86mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Alex having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
