04/30/2023 - National Showcase - Manalapan, NJ Alexander is a 2025 SS/RHP prospect with a tall, thin frame at 6'1" 145 pounds. At short, he shows off quick feet and covers ground to all angles. He presents soft hands out in front and takes good angles to the baseball. He features a clean exchange and loose arm action, which allows him to make consistent, accurate throws across the diamond. His exchange on double plays is impressive and smooth. At the plate, he starts in an athletic stance and does a great job of getting an on-time stride. He keeps his balance centered and his lower half does a great job of leading. He has a lot of intent in the box and a quick, direct swing to the baseball with fast bat speed. He projects as a line drive hitter that makes hard contact. On the mound, he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and shows off a clean arm action. He does a good job of gathering his balance over the rubber and stays squared and in-line to the plate on delivery while getting to a nice balance point. He keeps his eyes on target and has a smooth, controlled landing. His CB features 11-5 gradual break and he does a nice job of maintaining FB arm speed when throwing his CH. Alexander is an exciting prospect and one to definitely keep an eye on as he continues to develop!

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Alexander Hubbard is a talented SS/RHP in the 2025 class. In the field, he gains an athletic position and his hands work. He takes solid directions to the baseball and plays with aggressive intent. Has short arm action from a high ¾ slot. His feeds a are accurate and the arm plays (82 velo). At the plate, he begins with a squared stance and has a short stride. His path is level and he allows his back side to engage with his swing. Creates consistent contact with strong barrel feel. Shows line drive production and with added strength, he will be able to back spin baseballs to the gap. He did not pitch at the event due to rain. Overall, Alexander is a player with a bright future and a must watch in the 2025 class.

10/05/2022 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic (2025) Alexander is a tall (6ft one/140) SS/RHP in the 2025 class. Scouts said he is a “great kid and even a better teammate”. He is extremely coachable and his work ethic is off the charts. In the field, he has above average hands and solid pocket feel. Had advanced feel around the bag on his feeds and turns and his throws are accurate to his targets. Can play lower to the ground and scouts feel he will improve once he gains strength and flexibility. On the mound, he uses a 3-pitch mix from a high ¾ slot. His FB topped at 71 with sink. His CB sat 60-62 with 9-3 sweeping shape and his CH sat 62-3 and was around the zone. At the plate, he shows strong balance and a solid barrel path. Understands the hitting zone and generates contact well to the backside. Overall, Alexander is a up and coming two-way player with a bright future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
