In the field, Alexander shows proper footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He throws from a 3/4 angle and makes consistent throws to his target. Alexander can improve defensively by making a quicker exchange. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a crouched stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting back into his load and drives the ball to his pull side. Alexander can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half more. On the mound, Alexander shows a good rhythm as he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time, He works with a clean arm action and stays inline towards the plate. Alexander has a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 54mph. Breaking ball sits from 46-47mph with 10-4 break. Alexander can improve as a pitcher by driving his lower half more. With five more years to develop, Alexander has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.
