07/22/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Alexander is a coachable 3B/RHP prospect who continued to work hard on his skills during his time at the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Alexander shows proper footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He throws from a 3/4 angle and makes consistent throws to his target. Alexander can improve defensively by making a quicker exchange. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a crouched stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting back into his load and drives the ball to his pull side. Alexander can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half more. On the mound, Alexander shows a good rhythm as he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time, He works with a clean arm action and stays inline towards the plate. Alexander has a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 54mph. Breaking ball sits from 46-47mph with 10-4 break. Alexander can improve as a pitcher by driving his lower half more. With five more years to develop, Alexander has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

04/15/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Greensboro, NC Alexander is a young, 2-way player with a solid frame. At 3B, Alexander has efficient footwork, he presents his glove well, and he fields in a square position. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
