12/05/2021 - All-In Membership - Chandler (Phoenix), AZ Alexander is a solid lefty, two-way player, with solid abilities throughout. In the outfield, Alexander shows quick/active footwork, a presentable glove, and he fields athletically. He works behind the ball well, makes adjustments well, and has a quick/accurate arm, with carry to his target. On the mound, this LHP has good balance, a quick arm action, and on-time hand separation. He attacks the zone, has good extension on his pitches, and throw strikes. Added extension through the zone, and sharpening off-speed will only help mound effectiveness get better. At the plate, this left-handed hitter has an athletic/open stance, good balance, and a rhythmic swing. He has a fast bat, a short swing path, and plus strength to the pull side. Improve rhythm and staying on the ball longer will only help solid offensive abilities get even better.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
